O ex-jogador Pelé, internado desde a última terça-feira (29/11) no Hospital Israelita Albert Einstein, em São Paulo, não responde mais à quimioterapia para tratar um câncer no cólon. De acordo com o jornal Folha de S. Paulo, o ex-jogador de futebol está em cuidados paliativos exclusivos. Aos 82 anos de idade, Pelé foi encaminhado ao hospital no início desta semana após apresentar um quadro de inchaço por todo o corpo.
Os exames iniciais indicaram quadro de anasarca (inchaço generalizado), síndrome edemigêmica (edema genrealizado) e insuficiência cardíaca descompensada. Procurado pela reportagem, o Albert Einstein não havia respondido aos questionamentos do Metrópoles até a última atualização deste texto.
