Brasil é escolhido para ser a sede da Copa do Mundo Feminina de 2027
Esta será a primeira vez que a competição será disputada na América do Sul. Candidatura brasileira propôs uso de 10 estádios da Copa de 2014, com abertura e final no Maracanã.
O Brasil foi escolhido pela Fifa como sede da Copa do Mundo Feminina de Futebol de 2027. O anúncio foi feito durante a madrugada desta sexta-feira (17), no Congresso da federação em Bangkok, na Tailândia. Veja a lista de prováveis estádios mais abaixo.
Esta será a primeira vez na história que a competição feminina será disputada na América do Sul. O Brasil já havia recebido duas copas masculinas, em 1950 e em 2014.
“Vivemos hoje um dia histórico em Bangkok. Essa é uma vitória do futebol feminino mundial. Garanto a todos vocês que o Brasil fará a melhor Copa do Mundo Feminina da história”, disse o presidente da Confederação Brasileira de Futebol (CBF), Ednaldo Rodrigues.
Bélgica, Alemanha e Holanda também haviam apresentado uma candidatura conjunta que concorria contra a proposta brasileira. Já os Estados Unidos e o México haviam desistido da disputa em abril.
Na votação desta sexta-feira, o Brasil venceu por um placar de 119 votos a 78 para Bélgica, Alemanha e Holanda.
