Embarcação com 9 toneladas de atum pescada ilegalmente é apreendida em Acaraú
Uma embarcação que pescava atum ilegalmente foi apreendida na última terça-feira (4) em Acaraú, no litoral do Ceará, com nove toneladas da espécie capturadas ilegalmente.
A embarcação já vinha sendo monitorada pelo Instituto Brasileiro do Meio Ambiente e dos Recursos Naturais Renováveis (IBAMA) por suspeita de estar pescando sem a permissão do órgão competente.
A ação do IBAMA, em conjunto com a Marinha do Brasil e a Polícia Militar do Ceará (PMCE), fez parte da Operação Ágata, que atua no combate a ilícitos ambientais na superfície marinha.
Além da apreensão do pescado e da embarcação, a atividade de pesca foi embargada e o infrator foi multado em R$ 194.240,00.
