Salário mínimo poderá ser de R$ 1.421 em 2024
O valor representa um aumento de 7,7% sobre o valor atual.
A ministra do Planejamento e Orçamento, Simone Tebet (MDB) comunicou em entrevista coletiva ao lado do ministro da Fazenda, Fernando Haddad (PT), que a proposta do governo para o valor do salário mínimo em 2024 é de R$ 1.421. Caso aprovado, o valor deve começar a ser pago apenas no próximo ano.
O valor proposto para 2024 é R$ 101 maior que o piso atual, que é de R$ 1.320 (um aumento de 7,7%). A proposta foi enviada ao Congresso Nacional.
Na LDO (Lei de Diretrizes Orçamentárias), enviada ao Congresso Nacional em abril, a previsão era que o salário mínimo seria de R$ 1.389 em 2024. O novo valor já contempla a regra atualizada de correção. Além da inflação projetada pelo Índice Nacional de Preços ao Consumidor (INPC) estimada para 2023 até novembro, o reajuste do piso salarial para o próximo ano considera o crescimento do Produto Interno Bruto (PIB) de dois anos antes (2022), de 2,9%.
Em agosto, o presidente Lula (PT) sancionou a lei que implementou uma nova política de valorização do piso nacional. Pela legislação, o salário mínimo será reajustado com objetivo de dar aumento real todo ano aos trabalhadores. A nova regra faz com que o valor do salário mínimo seja corrigido pela inflação do ano anterior, com base no INPC, somada a variação positiva do PIB de dois anos atrás.
A medida foi uma das bandeiras de campanha de Lula. O objetivo, segundo o governo, é aumentar o poder de compra das famílias. Desde 2019, não havia mais lei determinando reajuste acima da inflação. Se a política de valorização do piso não tivesse sido interrompida, a base estimada pelo governo federal estaria hoje em R$ 1.342.
A valorização acima da inflação foi abandonada no governo Bolsonaro. De 2011 a 2019, o salário mínimo foi corrigido com base no INPC do ano anterior e na variação do PIB de dois anos antes. A política instituída por Dilma
Rousseff (PT) foi interrompida em 2020. Na época, a avaliação do governo de Jair Bolsonaro (PL) foi de que o impacto para as contas públicas seria muito grande.
