Uma tartaruga foi encontrada sem vida na Avenida Beira Mar, próximo ao Cais do Porto na noite deste domingo (22), em Camocim. Esta é a terceira ocorrência no mês de outubro, deixando ambientalistas e autoridades alarmados.
A Polícia Militar foi imediatamente acionada para o local, e uma equipe do Projeto Faunamar foi notificada sobre o caso. Aníbal, representante do projeto, informou que a morte do animal pode estar relacionada à ingestão de algum alimento nocivo. “É um quadro lamentável e preocupante. Essas tartarugas são essenciais para o equilíbrio dos ecossistemas marinhos”, destacou.
Esta série de incidentes ressalta a importância de ações preventivas e de conscientização sobre o impacto humano nos ecossistemas costeiros. As autoridades locais enfatizam que, caso alguém encontre um animal marinho em condições semelhantes, deve acionar primeiramente a Polícia Militar e, em seguida, um órgão ambiental que atue na região.
