Nem casamento nem filhos: o que é agamia, termo usado para quem não quer compromisso tradicional
Quanto vale estabelecer vínculos a ponto de pensar em filhos e casamento? Para os adeptos da agamia, nada. O termo surgiu durante entrevista publicada no início deste mês no jornal da Universidade de São Paulo e tem movimentado discussões. Na ocasião, a antropóloga Heloísa Buarque de Almeida detalhou o comportamento.
Segundo ela, a agamia é caracterizada por pessoas que não querem casar ou ter filhos e que não se atraem pela ideia de compromisso tradicional, de estabelecer família. A palavra vem do grego – “a” (não ou sem) e “gamos” (união íntima ou casamento) – e tem como base a falta de interesse de um indivíduo em firmar relacionamento romântico com alguém.
Segundo ela, gerações atuais buscam outras formas de parceria, sem compromisso legal. “Esse comportamento não é exclusivo do Brasil. Outros países da América Latina também passam pela mudança, assim como Estados Unidos e Japão”, menciona a publicação.
“As novas famílias estão tendo outra formação, com dois pais, duas mães, casais vivendo em casas separadas, são inúmeras as alternativas de relacionamento. Em suma, houve uma mudança na leitura do que é o amor, a família e o mundo”, continua o texto.
O Verso aprofunda o debate com outros especialistas. Psicóloga clínica e escritora, colunista do Diário do Nordeste, Maria Camila Moura introduz afirmando que o comportamento humano é regido por diferentes influências, desde filas genéticas a questões micro e macrossociais.
“Se tivéssemos nascido na sociedade medieval, por exemplo, nosso comportamento seria diferente. Se estivéssemos até em outra geografia – como no Afeganistão, sob domínio do Talibã – eu nem sequer estaria dando essa entrevista pra você. Logo, a questão de como nos relacionamos é, sim, pensada a partir desses pontos”, reflete.
Ela corrobora com a percepção de Heloísa Buarque de Almeida sobre as novas gerações estarem mais abertas a outras formas de se relacionar. Sem dúvida , à medida que a sociedade se modifica, as formas de nos relacionarmos também se alteram. “Hoje conseguimos falar de relacionamento monogâmico, não-monogâmico, poliamor, trisal, relacionamento sugar, coisas que talvez lá atrás a gente não falasse”.
